We are progressing an ambitious five-phase redevelopment plan to regenerate and revitalise the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse complex
With support from the Scottish Land Fund, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse Trust appointed our first full time Project Manager in January 2020. This action was taken to ensure a strong start to the progression of our plans under community ownership.
‘Project 21’ comprises a staged programme of project work to upgrade infrastructure, facilities and the guest offer at the community-owned Ardnamurchan Lighthouse complex. The programme was first formally outlined in the Trust’s 2019 Business Plan.
Working closely with our Trustees and Manager, the Project Manager has a critical role in securing funds and coordinating the delivery of work under this programme.
The Project 21 programme is intended to:
- protect and enhance the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse complex as a community-owned heritage asset;
- increase income generation on site to strengthen the financial sustainability of our social enterprise; and
- increase the site’s capacity to deliver economic, environmental and social benefit to our geographical community of West Ardnamurchan.
