On NLB duty this morning doing the monthly checks at the station. Not a great deal involved really; check oil & fuel levels in the back up generator, take readings of optic hours, ensure the station’s health & safety equipment is in order and brush down the stairs. Nothing too strenuous….apart from the stair brushing!
A Glensanda boat has been lying off the light all morning..no idea what he is up to…he did exactly the same thing 10 days ago…Duncan is keeping an eye on him from the top of the tower.
No sign of the basking shark this morning and with the sea like glass if he was there we would see him.
An otter provided great entertainment yesterday, playing around down by the ‘iron stair’ below the light
